As a highly anticipated global event encompassing performances, competitions, masterclasses, workshops and cultural exchanges, the festival is dedicated to creating a stage and platform for choirs, conductors, experts, teachers and students worldwide to enjoy a week of great music and learning

Hamilton Children’s Choir consistently dazzles audiences with flexible and focused choral tone, masterful interpretations of challenging repertoire, and a captivating, authentic stage presence across North America, Europe, and Asia. They seek to perform music that will create a feeling in listeners through unique rhythmic pieces that stirs images in one’s heart. Audiences will enjoy traditional Southern African music elements, a collection of dance and love songs from various countries and many Canadian composer’s original compositions, bringing a memorable night for all of you.

International Choral Competition

The 10-category competition will be adjudicated by a Jury of more than 20 choral experts from all around the world, including WYCCAA Vice Presidents Dr. Brady ALLRED, Prof. Martin BERGER, Dr. Milan KOLENA, Mr. Da-peng MENG, as well as Prof. Ragnar RASMUSSEN, Prof. Urša LAH, Dr. Zoltan PAD, Prof. Zimfira POLOZ and many more… The competition comprises two rounds, Category Competitions and Finalists Night. The champion of each category (awarded with Gold Award or above) will enter the Final to compete for the Grand Prizes and Cash Awards, which will be voted upon by the entire jury of the festival.

Utopia & Reality Chamber Choir Concert: The Cycle of Polarities

Utopia & Reality Chamber Choir is an international choir established in 2011 by a conductor couple. Members of the choir are all professional singers or conductors spanning from almost 20 countries, performing on a high artistic level. They will bring along a variety of Scandinavian and Slovenian music to explore many kinds of “polarities” in our lives in a light and entertaining way. Audiences are bound to enjoy a night of refreshing music.
