The Battle of The Qiu River
Description
Description
The towns of Fang and Yun are battling for the control of the Qiu River. Yun Dahao is afraid that his son Yun Hanzhang would be lenient with his lover Fang Ziyan, and demands him to make a military pledge. He also demands his daughter Yun Jinchang to be the vanguard. Armies of the two towns face each other. Jinchang is captured heartlessly by Cheng Beihai; Fang Ziyan is defeated by Hanzhang at a spear fight, but is let go. Ziyan begs Beihai to retreat but fails; she has no choice but secretly helps Hanzhang sneak his way into the Fang army to save his sister. Beihai threatens the Yun army with the life of Jinchang, and Hanzhang could only retreat. Ziyan tries to convince her father Fan Wancheng, and eventually obtains Wancheng’s order to go to the enemy’s camp. Hanzhang returns to his camp and is condemned by Dahao. Seeing his lover is about to be executed at the front gate of the military camp, Ziyan tries to negotiate peace with a letter and begs Dahao to release his son. Dahao accepts the invitation of Wancheng and the two meet at the banquet at the river bank. Hanzhang observes hidden danger and rushes to guard the safety of his father. He fights with Beihai. Ziyan sends divers to ram the warships. Beihai is defeated and captured. Dahao and Wancheng agree to retreat their army and re-establish their amicable relationship.
