Eaton HK is pleased to present solo exhibitions with Kayla Wong and Olivia Lala.
Kayla Wong’s work presents joy and tenderness that only love and human connection inspire. Between these moments we face the ups and downs of the everyday, yet we hope that with our loved ones, we are made stronger and able to face any trial and tribulation. In these moments, we leave everything behind, enraptured by the possibility of love.
Olivia Lala’s photographs take a personal and introspective look at the world around her. In her images are ephemeral encounters between individuals, images, and their environments. Her work invokes symbols and associations, that when stitched together provide a kaleidoscope view connecting people and the worlds around them, at times oppressive and at times liberating.
Kayla and Olivia offer differing perspectives on our private and public lives. When juxtaposed offer a lens into lives lived with others and affected by interactions. Both photographers remind us of the transience of emotions and the magic that surrounds us when we take a moment to take it all in.
