This opera has an all-star cast, with a collection of the outstanding opera forces, for instance, Long Koon-tin acts as Mao Zedong, Emperor Guangxu, Sun Yat-sen and Emperor Puyi, together with appearances of Empress Dowager Cixi, Zhou Enlai, Chiang Kai-shek and Yuan Shi-kai too, however, the major lead of the play is \u201cRepublic\u201d.
