In his<br \/>\nlatest solo exhibition, his third solo show at Karin Weber Gallery, the artist<br \/>\nonce again contradicts visual expectations with his innovative, abstract<br \/>\ncreations. Strictly \u2018non-narrational,\u2019 these contemporary works reflect<br \/>\nunexpected forms and appearances from the basic materials \u2013 wood,<br \/>\nmetal and epoxy \u2013 that are the tools of this artist.<br \/>\nForms and shapes are combined, juxtaposed or twisted with fluidity<br \/>\nto create three-dimensional wall and table objects that blur the line<br \/>\nbetween sculptures and pictures. The playfulness and joy of this creative<br \/>\nprocess is reflected in the choice of colours, and the textures with which<br \/>\nSiber experiments. Glossy, metallic tones make twisted compositions<br \/>\nof metal tubes appear weightless while his iconic candy-coloured Wall<br \/>\nObjects belie their density, bringing an instant burst of joy to any space.<br \/>\nTranslucent jelly-like finishes, spiky textures, bold contrasts between<br \/>\nlight and shadow make for dramatic pieces that open themselves up<br \/>\nto a variety of interpretations \u2013 winter landscapes, seascapes, fractals or<br \/>\nmicroscopic views of cell structure?
