One moment, Vivaldi, Mozart and Bach take the lead. The next, it’s Superman fighting Indiana Jones in an encounter with Mission Impossible’s Tom Cruise, as a medley of film theme music becomes the star of the show. Meanwhile, the sorely tried conductor constantly strives to restore harmony as his brilliant but unruly group engages in madcap tussles and high jinks on stage. There’s even a chance for some audience members to join in.<\/p>\n
In this fun theatrical concert, conductor Jordi Purti and his twelve versatile string musicians seamlessly deliver skits, dance with their bows, as well as produce a first-class performance. In doing so, they put a delightfully different spin on the world of classical music. The players received a rapturous reception at the 2017 Edinburgh Fringe Festival. A truly notable hit!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":0,"parent":0,"template":"","location_type":[350136],"event_category":[373314,373456],"area_type":[350139],"event_language":[],"series":[387116,388283,387123],"event_category_other":[],"class_list":["post-1314294","event","type-event","status-publish","hentry","location_type-indoor-en","event_category-music-en","event_category-music-western-instrumental-music-en","area_type-non-local","series-arts-festival","series-2019-international-arts-carnival","series-international-arts-carnival","search-detail"],"acf":[],"aioseo_notices":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.artseventsdb.hk\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/event\/1314294","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.artseventsdb.hk\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/event"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.artseventsdb.hk\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/event"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.artseventsdb.hk\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=1314294"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"location_type","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.artseventsdb.hk\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/location_type?post=1314294"},{"taxonomy":"event_category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.artseventsdb.hk\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/event_category?post=1314294"},{"taxonomy":"area_type","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.artseventsdb.hk\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/area_type?post=1314294"},{"taxonomy":"event_language","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.artseventsdb.hk\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/event_language?post=1314294"},{"taxonomy":"series","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.artseventsdb.hk\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/series?post=1314294"},{"taxonomy":"event_category_other","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.artseventsdb.hk\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/event_category_other?post=1314294"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
