When their father and mother pass away in close succession, they continue to live under one roof. It seems that life goes on as usual for them, until one day, a cricket appears in a corner of their home. Things begin to change. Sometimes they bicker and fight like they hate each other&#8217;s guts, and at other times they are a close and loving family. The emotional ups and downs bring on one stunning scene after another of human drama.<\/p>\n<p>     Premiered in 1999, &#8220;Cricket in My Life&#8221; looks at the transmutation of a family through a cricket&#8217;s eyes. Small things are seen in a larger magnitude, illustrating Hong Kong on the threshold of the new millennium, when the old order is clashing head-on with the new.
