From ancient to modern times, many composers around the world have attempted to depict different forms of birds and beasts in music or render various animal sounds into beautiful and touching melodies, thereby enriching the world of music. A wind band comprises a wide range of musical instruments, each with its own characteristics, including glittering brass instruments as well as woodwind and percussion instruments made of wood and different materials. The Music Office Instructors Wind Ensemble has selected for the concert a number of musical works which enjoy great popularity, such as the joyous and festive \u201cCarnival of the Animals\u201d, the lovely and funny \u201cCat Waltz\u201d and the well-known Guangdong music \u201cPacing Horses in the Countryside in Spring\u201d.
