Her father, suffering from Alzheimer\u2019s disease,  vacillates between humorous disposition and state of confusion.  \u201cReality\u201d gradually dissolves in his mind, creating many problems between parent and child.  Shouldering filial love and her responsibility to family, Anne is under tremendous pressure.  She is forced to make an \u201cappropriate\u201d decision. Her father struggles hard for survival, but will he be able to decide his own fate?<\/p>\n<p>The Father (Le P\u00e8re) is the work of one of France\u2019s most popular young playwrights, Florian Zeller, and winner of the 2014 Moli\u00e8re Award for Best Play.  Artistic Director Emeritus Fredric Mao plays the father, with a cast including Alice Lau and Pang Hang Ying.
