Drums in Move Drumming in Practice Project – Finale Performance
Drums in Move Drumming in Practice Project aims to encourage students to appreciate the unique features of drum line and drumset regarding their culture, history and unique technique. The project emphasis not only musical abilities but also team spirit, discipline and physical training, nurture the spirit of collaboration. Apart from the music and rhythm training, choreographer guides students to use body gesture, movement to create a unique performance style on stage. There will be four primary and three secondary schools students participating in the finale performance to share their learning outcomes with the public.

Motion X Colour II – Ultimate
The Drum Festival, the first of its kind, aim to achieve the followings:
1) Acts as a platform to bring together drummers from different perspectives including Pop, Jazz, Rock, Metal, Classical, Chinese traditional and Marching, in order to facilitate cultural exchange between drummers
2) Advocates drum music by series of drum clinic and master class conducted by different drummers, both foreign and local, so as to nourish Hong Kong drum arts.
3) Host an extravaganza with internationally renowned Drummers, Bands, Composers and Visual Artists to illustrate the charm of the drumset’s timbre. Popularize Drum music in Hong Kong music scene beyond the existing context.
With the Peter Erskine, Thomas Lang and Russ Miller visiting, and local artists Eyo Li Yi Ngo (Snare Drum), Haru Chi Ho Lau, Wing San Cheung, Yat Ding Lee, Chung Bee Lee (Drumset), Louis Chun Kit Siu (Timpanist) and Kin bun Luk (Chinese Drummer), the festival will be one of the most important international music events in 2016 that brings the music and joyfulness to the city in addition to the advocacy of drum music.
