We use our sense of touch on a daily basis, yet its possibility as a medium for art appreciation is often neglected, especially in the visually dominated culture. Touch art is an art form that tries to embody those possibilities. It embraces inclusion and invites visually impaired people to participate, and contritube for the recognition of disability identity.
The theme of this year’s festival will be “In Search for Invisible Memory. Visitors are encouraged to put aside their usual art appreciation experience and use other senses to explore the alternative side of our collective memory.
