Philip Glass’ David Bowie
Inspired by David Bowie’s “Heroes” album, Philip Glass’ Heroes Symphony is a sincere tribute to the superstar. The opener is music from There Will Be Blood, penned by Jonny Greenwood from the British rock band Radiohead、 followed by Lachrimae – an atmospheric piece used in The Revenant, which was composed by Bryce Dessner from the Grammy-award winning band, The National. Lastly, we have Three Movements (used memorably in The Hunger Games) by the pioneer minimalist composer Steve Reich.
