A stunning 300-year cultural heritage not to be missed!

Originated from folk art, the ‘giant rod puppets’ of Sichuan province have a history of more than 300 years. Being one of the rare theatrical genres in the world, the puppets were inscribed onto the first batch of ‘National List of Intangible Cultural Heritage’ in 2006.

The programme brings together the best in mythology, history and folklore, told with amazing stunts such as fast change of face, tea drinking, flicking of long sleeves by life-size puppets. A highly entertaining show with dance and live Chinese music – definitely an eye-opener with the rich array of traditional Chinese arts!
