This is an extraordinary opportunity for participating choirs to learn from others. International choral experts will give instant on-stage comments to each choir after the performance.

New Zealand Secondary Students’ Choir is the esteemed national choir for students in New Zealand. They will present a greatly diverse and dynamic repertoire of pieces including classical music, modern choral music, festive world music and of course music from their own Pacific region. Maori and Samoan performance incorporate dance with the beautiful choral tradition of the Pacific nations, characterised by warm, strong vocal tones. Moran Singers Ensemble will present repertoire which includes joyful, sad and melancholy rhythms, some typical music of the region’s ethnic style and some modern music by young Israeli composers. Their music comes from the heart and is full of hope for peace and friendship, in their region and in the entire world.

Category B1 – Youth Choir, SA Voices (aged 29 or under)
Category B2 – Youth Choir, TB Voices (aged 29 or under)
Category B3 – Youth Choir, SATB Voices (aged 29 or under)
Category C1 – Adult Choir (aged 60 or under)
Category C2 – Elderly Choir (aged 50 or above)

The Festival culminates in the Closing Ceremony and Finalists’ Night. The winners of Belt and Road Choral Competition, a total of 10 teams, will perform and compete for the Grand Prizes and Cash Awards.
