Fresh Forms II features a quartet of world premieres, all commissioned specifically for the festival. In Alter Ego, Alex Yiu explores notions of sampling, rhythmic-textual complexity, and extended vocal techniques in Hip-hop music. So Ho Chi’s The Eternal Return is an audio-visual composition, in which the spatialization of sound in the space interacts with the virtual space in the video. Sound Brood program graduates Intuon Chau and Coda Wong will create participatory compositions that involve audience interaction.
