Young pianists Chau Lok Ping and Chau Lok Ting will give a recital of works by Dvořák, Ravel and Brahms, as well as a sonata for two pianos, percussion and double bass for music lovers.

The Lion Dance‧Stepping High‧Billowing Waves, Lovers’ Sorrow, The Flowing Water and the Drifting Clouds, Autumn Meditation in the Boudoir, Mountain Breeze, Wind Blowing, Floating on Clear Water, The Plateau Dance, The Song of Tea-picking, Lan Huahua. Dizi performer Ho Siu-cheong will employ the techniques of playing traditional Guangdong music on dizi and dongxiao to perform Guangdong classics. In addition, he will also perform on Yuedi, Yuexiao and paidi to bring the fluid and beautiful melodies, crisp and bright tones and joyous rhythms of Guangdong music as well as well-known modern dizi and xiao pieces to audience. Ho will also use xun, an ancient Chinese musical instrument, to play The Flowing Water and the Drifting Clouds in an intriguing way. Ho will also try to push back the frontier of Chinese dongxiao by adopting of his originated techniques of shakuhachi, a Japanese end-blown flute, and join up with shakuhachi performer Sunny Yeung to play Wind Blowing, written by renowned Japanese composer Kineya Seiho. Ho will also present two hand-picked magnificent dizi concertos: Lan Huahua and Mountain Breeze.
