Tjoe Man Cheung is a Hong Kong born and bred Guitarist and composer. This Musicians Institute alumnus initiated NTBM (Not-To-Be-Missed) when he travelled and lived in Britain for two years. It is a jazz collective project aims at creating and playing original jazz tunes while the band is formed by different international musicians every time. NTBM produced their first studio album ‘and orange’ in London. It will be released globally in the form of a 12” LP record and a deluxe digital device. Tjoe and NTBM will bring to you the songs from ‘and orange’ alongside special tracks in the Release Gig. The LP record will be available for sale on site.

Danilo Rea SOLO and DUO with Oona Rea

Danilo Rea is one of Italy’s leading jazz pianists. Born in Vicenza, he received a solid musical training, obtaining his degree from the Santa Cecilia Conservatory in Rome. He made his debut with the Trio di Roma (with Roberto Gatto and Enzo Pietropaoli) in 1975. He is currently co-leader of the trio DOCTOR 3 (with Enzo Pietropaoli and Fabrizio Sferra), one of the most highly-acclaimed groups in Italy. Under the “Via Veneto” label he has recorded the solo CD Lost in Europe which brings together the highlights of his year 2000 tour.

Among the artists he has worked with on-stage and in the recording studios are Chet Baker, Lee Konitz, Steve Grossman, Bob Berg, Michael Breker, Billy Cobam, Aldo Romano, Dave Liebman, Joe Lovano and others. In the field of pop music his peerless credentials include Mina, Pino Daniele, Claudio Baglioni, Fiorella Mannoia and many others. He has given concerts in Italy, France, England, USA, India, Senegal and China.

He is also much sought-after as a performer in classical music settings. Noteworthy among these are Roberto De Simone’s Requiem for PierPaolo Pasolini under the direction of Zoltan Pesko at the Teatro San Carlo in Naples. At the Teatro Rossini in Pesaro, in-ensemble , he performed in “Rossini, mon amour” production for the Rossini Opera Festival. He has also appeared with Roberto Gatto in the context of a jazz festival at the Teatro dell’Opera in Rome. In recent years he has dedicated himself to teaching and master classes in jazz and improvisation techniques.

Oona Rea is a famous Italian jazz singer graduated at the Santa Cecilia Conservatory in Rome. She has been singing and playing together with important artists of the current Italian jazz panorama such as Danilo Rea, Maria Pia De Vito, Paolo Damiani, Alfredo Paixao.

She is a member of the Burnoguala ensemble founded by Italian jazz singer Maria Pia De Vito; she also sings in other music bands with her eclectic, blues tone. Oona is currently working on her a new CD which will include new and unreleased songs together with the Italian guitar player and composer Luigi Masciari, with whom she collaborates in many jazz, rock and pop musical projects.
