With “Rice” as the theme of the project, Theatre Ronin will hold a series of workshops, touring music theatre, finale performance and final exhibition to showcase “Yuen Long Jasmine Rice”, an rice industry which once uniquely represented Hong Kong, in order to induce local families’ to pursue “green living” and “simple living” and build up common family values.

Arts In Life – Finale Performance

The project includes a series of activities, comprising drama education, dance, singing and micro-film production. The arts group hopes that all participants and audience will develop their interest in theatre arts, and endeavor to create more high-quality community theatre productions and video works, instilling a positive outlook on life for the whole community through multiple art forms, including process drama, musical and forum theatre.

All About Family – A Touring Performance Integrating Documentary Theatre and Forum Theatre

At present’s society, generation gaps impact relationships between family members, parents and children find it difficult to express their feelings and emotions, it causes communication barriers in the family. Playback Theatre focuses on sharing and exchanging emotion of individuals while Forum Theatre stimulates rational discussions. Pants Theatre Production integrates the strengths of both theatre elements and induces communication, explores the connections, embodies acceptance and mutual respect between parents and children through workshops and touring performances.
