“Saxvoyage” by Five Sax

Five Sax comprising musicians Joel Diegert, Michal Knot, Alvaro Collao Leon, Pieter Pellens and Damiano Grandesso from the United States, Poland, Chile, Belgium and Italy. Five Sax promise to take music lovers on a multi-continental trip called “Saxvoyage”, beginning in one of the legendary capitals of music, Vienna. They then embark on a journey of musical exploration of the rich ethnic musical styles of Spain, Italy, Hungary and the Balkans. Next they take the audience to Rio de Janeiro to experience the seductive rhythms of Brazilian Bossa Nova, the passion of Argentine tango, and there’s even a visit to the mystical Colombian town of Macondo. The last stop of the “voyage” will be sunny Los Angeles to rediscover some of the most famous Hollywood hits.

This unique ensemble brings together four members of the Vienna Philharmonic, one Berlin Philharmonic player, an internationally renowned jazz pianist and an improvisation-fascinated violinist for a deliciously heady cocktail of virtuosity, passion and good old fun. The musicians’ diverse ethnic and musical backgrounds guide their choice of repertoire, which ranges from classical music to Hungarian folk music, jazz and Latin, giving audiences something of everything. The concert programme includes works by Saint-Saëns, Mancini, Verdi, Bassi, Halévy, Neufeld, Kováč, Kreisler, Satie and Feliciano, all served with a twist of improvisation.

A dockworker and a country lass meet by accident, both running away from the war. Together, they are going to learn to trust one another, to work, to grow up and to surmount the fear of realizing their dreams. All without words, only by mime and gesture, a new world will arise under the fingers of the two actors with simple pieces of paper!

Music, Maestro! showcases a great variety of musical style in the world to the children. Not only does it deliver knowledge about music, it also gives joy and excitement to the audience. The performance includes black light theatre, puppets and masks. It has lots of gags, choreography of the characters and constant change of costume and staging, giving it a quick flow with colourful visual!

Get into the colour of the Nature with your little eyes

Three Colours is a multimedia theatre for young children to explore multiple sensory worlds through the colours red, blue and green. Fusing motion, music, light and projection, it gently draws the audience into wonderful imaginary landscapes where they can swim with fishes, hop around with frogs, catch grasshoppers and listen to a gentle heartbeat…all conjured out of the colours of light. It takes the audience on a delightful yet playful journey into the nature and is best for children aged 2 to 4.

With interactive session after each performance.

No age limit for this programme (Best for aged 2 to 4). Children are required to be accompanied by adults.

Audience may be seated on the floor or enter the performance area during the interactive session and are requested to take off their shoes. Comfortable clothing and shoes are recommended.

Winter is the season of candies, sharing is the greatest happiness!

In order to represent the Sweetyland to participate in a competition to fight for being the sweetest, all Candies compete, envy and repel each other. The original peaceful and friendly atmosphere of the Sweetyland suddenly turns out to be revolting. Being selfish, the Candies gradually lose their sweetness, and they are even being driven away from Sweetyland. The Sweetyland is in trouble again! Please come to join us if you want to know what happen to all Candies at last!

Make Friends With Puppets is producing this new puppet musical following the success of the two original puppet theatres Winter in Sweetyland and Woola Jungle II with overwhelming response. The story of Sweetyland III – A Tasty Tale touches the heart and makes one laugh. Together with the original music and interactive video projection, it is certain that the audience will like it.
