Roots
A traveller from afar comes to town to trace his origin
In search of his roots, a realistic yet surreal journey begins…
A man goes to search of his hometown in China with only the scantiest clues to go on.
His grandmother could only remember the name of a distant relative, who may or may not be alive in China. With only that name, the man trawls through the internet for information and zeros in on a place which may or may not be his grandfather’s hometown. This man embarks on a journey to find this distant relative, who may or may not exist in a place which may or may not be his grandfather’s hometown. The kind folks in China point out the directions to this place, where he may or may not find this distant relative, who may or may not reveal the family secrets that his grandmother has kept from him. The man, so fixated on finding the truth, may or may not find what he is searching for in the first place.

Fragments of Clay
How does one continue to satisfy his insatiable desire?
Jump off, and all will be gone along the wind
The deal is closed, the day is done, millions made.
Falling, the night is falling. A chair, a screen, a phone and the lights of the city below. All it would take is a single step – outside, onto the ledge, a gust of wind and he’d be away. Falling, falling like a fragment of clay.
Uniting physical performance, postdramatic theatre and electronica, “Fragments of Clay” is a solo piece exploring the hubris of being on the top and the inevitable fall that accompanies it.
He loves being high – in so many ways – the risk, the thrill of being on the very edge.

1:00
In this sphere of defences and offences,
theatre is the longitude, sports is the latitude
The competition of life never ends, nor does the tension that grips us…
1:0 portrays the life of some ordinary people, and metonymizes real situations in sports. The two, situations in life and situations in sports, are texts contrasting with each other. They include a player who yearns for promotion but never reaches first base, a frustrated man who cannot throw a good pitch in love, a low-level employee who is maliciously fouled but dares not say a word, a basketball player who wins the game but loses a friendship, a coach/boss who only talks and finds trouble, a couple always quarrelling about strategy. In the meantime, sport scenes such as basketball, baseball, table tennis, swimming, track, and so on are shown one after the other. The play illustrates the philosophical imagery that a sports field is like a battlefield in life by constantly advancing the sports scenes and situations.

The Monsters
A curious twist of bizarre social phenomena,
woven together by a group of complete strangers under the glittering light of the night…
Hong Kong, a prosperous and glamorous city. Like the classic Canto-pop song Below the Lion Rock, its people joined hands and created a legend with the fabled “Hong Kong spirit”, serenaded in the song: ”of one mind we pursue our dream, setting aside all differences.” Away from the dazzling neon light and bustling traffic, strange, tired long figures hide in the narrow streets and dark alleys. They are “the monsters”, already forgotten by this glittery, cold city. Transvestites, nudists, members of ethnic minorities, people with obscure diseases or disabilities…all kinds of figures quietly live their invisible lives within the city, alongside yet far away from everyone else. They are labelled as the “monsters”, yet these “monsters” work hard for their survival, just like anyone else.In the chaotic and busy urban life, the chance encounters of these “monsters” somehow form a tapestry of moving yet satirical tales. Looking on, one can’t help but wonder who are in fact the neglected ones? Is it these “monsters” or indeed ourselves? Who are really “the monsters”?
