Winter In Sweetyland

The story begins as winter is late arriving. The temperature keeps going up, causing a growing sense of fear in the world of candy. So Cotton Candy decides to leave Sweetyland to find winter. Cotton Candy encounters many hardships on the way, but also discovers that the world can be bitter as well as sweet. In order to save Sweetyland and bring the real taste of sweetness to people, Cotton Candy decides to make a great sacrifice. Finally it snows. The weather is cold, but people’s hearts are warmed by snowflakes that taste like cotton candy.

Snowman

Hans Andersen’s short story. An abandoned snowman meets Papa Dog and sacrificed hime so the Papa Dog can get some warmth.
Fairy tale fancier the young boy wishes the story “Snowman” to come true. He meets a homeless granny in cold day and soon realized it’s not freezing anymore. Snowman sacrificed himself for granny.
Days can be frozen, but we can become snowman. Though when spring comes you melt, you are the witness of nature.

The Adventure of Baron Munchausen

Based on amazing tales about famous German nobleman Baron Munchausen, this escapade follows Munchausen and friend Doctor Parker as they go on an extraordinary and magical adventure.

In this story, Baron Munchausen believes that he rules the Empire of Fantasy, and keeps a diary about his confused memories. Doctor Parker hopes to cure him of these destructive delusions but ends up being unwillingly drawn on a journey into the Baron’s fantasy world. On the journey, Doctor Parker begins to feel that he missed a lot in the past – true love, the healing effects of laughter and the pleasures of a simple life.

The performance promises playful and humorous scenes, black theatre tricks, film projections and music by Czech composer Petr Hapka. Along with a colourful set, costumes and decorations by Emma Srncová, the audience is promised a fanciful, fantastic and emotional story about the amazing Baron Munchausen’s Empire of Fantasy.

White Lie

Parents always teach their children to be upright and honest. But as children grow older, they discover that it is not always the case in reality. This children’s musical theatre tells how children who, from an early age, are taught to be honest by their parents may feel puzzled when they grow up and find there are more and more ‘grey areas’ and ‘white lies’ in their daily life.

Through Sally’s fantastic adventures, Terrapin Puppet Theatre reveals the power of the imagination and its ability to unlock the hero in all of us.
