“Can a rotten soul hear its own echo?”

The Plot
Starry and Scarlett are duo popular idols. Starry, while lacking singing talent, does everything to keep up her attractive appearance. Scarlett, the better singer with a character, performs philanthropic deeds to put up nice images for the duo. This intricate balance can be maintained until one day when a distressed child forces them to a difficult moral choice. While popular support may ebb and flow, where can they find the true voice of praise? From the fans, or from their own hearts?

Performances in Interpretation of Classical Chinese Literature through Drama III will be based on three of the 12 designated classical Chinese essays for the new Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSE) Curriculum, namely On the Six States (《六國論》), Enjoyment in Untroubled Ease (《逍遙遊》) and Encouraging Learning (《勸學》). Complemented by contemporary, minimalist stage treatment, the classical Chinese texts are vividly and stereoscopically presented on stage. As students are exposed to theatrical art, teachers can also use the drama as a focal point for classroom instruction.
