Hong Kong Schools Dance Association

Introduction

Founded on 30th June 1997, Hong Kong Schools Dance Association Limited (HKSDA) aims at promoting the development of dance education among schools in Hong Kong. The HKSDA also provides local students with a platform to share experience with their counterparts from the mainland and overseas.

The highlights of the year are the Schools Dance Festival and the Winners’ performances, which are co-organised by the Hong Kong Education Bureau. Besides, the HKSDA holds regular teachers’ workshops, students’ fun days and exchange programmes in order to inspire local students and to facilitate dance education in schools. With the generosity and support of the Hong Kong Education Bureau, 856 local primary, secondary and special schools have signed up as the member of the HKSDA as at 2020/21 school year.
