Hong Kong Professional Winds

The Hong Kong Professional Winds is a newly established orchestra created by Dr. Yip Wai Hong to promote brass and winds music. Members of the orchestra and its conductors are all well-known and sought-after musicians in Hong Kong who have studied in conservatories here or abroad. Dr. Yip hopes that the orchestra will develop for them a formidable platform on which they can present performances and demonstrations regularly. Hong Kong Professional Winds will introduce and educate the general public of the versatility of these brilliant yet lyrical instruments, allowing a wide audience to recognize its history, musical styles and characteristics. Simultaneously, local youth and music students will benefit when they hear great repertoire from this genre of Classical music.
