Hong Kong Music Lover Chinese Orchestra

Introduction

The Hong Kong Music Lover Chinese Orchestra was established in 1979, to promote Chinese music and carry forward its rich heritage. The orchestra has given many public performances under the invitation of the Hong Kong Arts Festival Society, the Hong Kong Tourism Board, and many private organisations of Hong Kong. Apart from performance activities, the orchestra has made many recordings in both cassette tape and CD, including Song of the Chariots, Gongs and Drums in Celebration of a Bumper Harvest and the Gold Disc winner, Fishermen’s Song of the East Sea. In addition, the orchestra has toured Singapore, Taiwan, the United States, Australia and a number of cities on the Mainland.
