Life is easy. Why do we make it so hard? – An Exhibition by Zheng Bo
Zheng Bo’ s exhibition entitled Life is hard. Why do we make it so easy? is inspired by the thought- provoking TED talk, “Life is easy. Why do we make it so hard?” by Jon Jandai, a farmer from north- eastern Thailand and an activist for sustainable living. The artist creates his project by reflecting upon the ecological paradox: life on earth is supposed to be both easy and hard. However, as human beings, we often make our lives easy at the expense of other organisms in nature.

SAORI WEAVING EXHIBITION (CCCD SAORI Mini Hiroba)
SAORI Mini Hiroba will display SAORI products by Hong Kong (The Salvation Army Heng On Integrated Vocational Rehabilitation Service, St. James’ Settlement St. James’ Creation & New Life Psychia tric Rehabilition Centre) and Japanese artists during JCCAC Festival. Also new Pang Tsai + CCCD new SAORI products. SAORI charged fee workshops will be held during the weekends of 5, 6, 12, 13, 19, 20/12/2020 by appointment.

“Art in Construction” – Exhibition by CIC – Zero Carbon Park
Creativity and Sustainability are crucial for Construction and Creative Industries to meet the needs of modern society! This year, Construction Industry Council – Zero Carbon Park proudly presents: “Art in Construction”, an exhibition that gathers local artists to explore and showcase the connection and creativity between construction and art through various forms including sculptures, installations, painting, photography, and workshops. Free virtual exhibition tour is provided in accordance with epidemic prevention measures. Incorporating augmented reality (AR) technology, the exhibition allows everyone to experience the creativity of construction as if they are on a worksite. Visitors can not only experience the artistry of art and construction, but also spread and share the power of green construction and low-carbon lifestyle.

deTour Special丨Highlighted Works from deTour 2019
The co-creators are inspired by elements and ideas from the “NEW OLD. OLD NEW”, exploring the potential for design to enhance the experience of our later lives. Demonstrating the new values and meanings relevant to today’s society: six designers will showcase their interpretations in a group exhibition held at the historical foundation remain at PMQ; Power Duo WARE presents for the first time a big scale iridescent kinetic installation, uncovering the implicit conditions of our experience and rediscovering our curiosity visually. More pop-up exhibitions will be showcased throughout PMQ during the month for visitors to enjoy at their pace.

Art creation can be a flash of inspiration or a sentimental expression; it reflects the accumulation, inheritance and breakthroughs on the path of each artist’s development and learning. Artists with disabilities all have their own likes and habits, and gradually establish their own characteristic styles, thus each artist tells a unique story.

Shirley Tse: Stakes and Holders
Shirley Tse: Stakes and Holders presents sculptural work and installations by the Los Angeles–based Hong Kong artist Shirley Tse. Tse’s site-responsive presentation uses sculpture as a way of thinking to explore contrasting positions, processes, and materials. She works with wood, plastics, and objects such as studio and sports equipment, as well as the techniques of turning on a lathe, 3D printing, and amateur radio transmission. Tse addresses the concepts of agency, negotiation, and connection in a pluralistic world, drawing on both histories and imaginations. The exhibition responds to Shirley Tse: Stakeholders, Hong Kong in Venice, Hong Kong’s presence at the Venice Biennale in 2019.
