Visual Arts

Description
Description
We are what we sculpt.
The first cohort of Diploma in Fine Art with Sculpture as the major subject was offered by the Hong Kong Art School in 2002. It is time to celebrate the 10th anniversary this year. Two years ago, we have the first degree-graduate majored in Sculpture. From Tung Shing Building to Jockey Club Creative Art Centre (JCCAC), students’ artistic developments have been evolving. It is envisaged that their personal growth is also crafted during the creative process.
The eleven participating artists, well mixed with graduates and students, have diverse background and experience. They are working as artist’s assistant, arts administration, arts instructors and full-time artists. Some of them have their full-time job nothing related to arts. The diversity contributes to their establishment of own sets of unique sculpture languages even under the same education system.
If sculpture emerge from materials, forms and transformation of energy,so do our lives.
