Wallance Chan ” Metamporphosis” Jewellery Preview
Visual Arts

Description
Description
“Metamorphosis” makes an accurate depiction of Wallace Chan’s mind and his process of creation. With precious time and efforts devoted into his jewellery art, he turns materials and craftsmanship into various forms of beauty, grasping the inspiration from within and converting his imagination, life experiences and way of thinking into the physical objects we see today. In his hands, natural elements such as metals, stones, water and fire are sent through metamorphosis to become pieces of jewellery art. He never ceases to challenge himself, even if it means completely destroying a nearly finished piece and starting all over again. Change is in his nature and perfection is always his aim. In Wallace Chan’s jewellery art, various elements are presented to inspire visually and conceptually. Every piece has a story to tell – they can be studied from all angles, and their viewers can find no fault. They can be worn on any fabrics, and their
wearers can always find in them the true meaning of
comfort.
