“The Sleeping Princess” by The Hong Kong Ballet Group (Sponsored Programme)

Description

Description

Stepping into its 50th anniversary, The Hong Kong Ballet Group proudly presents The Sleeping Princess with its Heinz Bosl Memorial Scholarship recipient Yuri Ng and renowned musician-dancer Stephen Xavier as Co-Artistic Directors. To join hands in this grand celebration, over 180 students and teachers from 32 dance schools will take part in the performance, together with Cliff Lui and Sylvia Wu as guest performers, who were the first ballet prince and princess of the Hong Kong ballet scene. The Sleeping Princess is a fresh rendition of the ballet classic Sleeping Beauty, in which audience will be taken to the imaginary backstage to witness how the magic of ballet begins before the fancy tutus and sets. With the live accompaniment by celebrated concert pianist Yim Wan and promising ballet pianist Simon Lee, you are about to experience the charm of classical ballet inside out.
