Description
Premiered at the Grand Theatre, Hong Kong Cultural Centre in 2010, this new version of The Sleeping Beauty for The Hong Kong Ballet was staged by Cynthia Harvey, former principal dancer of the American Ballet Theatre and The Royal Ballet, with magnificent sets and lush costumes by Mark Bailey. The Hong Kong Sinfonietta conducted by Judith Yan provided live accompaniment from Tchaikovsky’s seductive score.
