The Philadelphia Orchestra

Description

Description

The remarkable Philadelphia Orchestra will come to Hong Kong with two performances in May under the baton of its Music Director Yannick Nézet-Séguin. The first concert will feature Brahms’ “Symphony No. 2” and Rimsky-Korsakov’s “Scheherazade”, while the programme of the second concert will include Beethoven’s “String Quartet in F minor, ‘Serioso'” (arranged by Mahler) and Bruckner’s “Symphony No. 4 in E-flat, ‘Romantic'”.

The Philadelphia Orchestra is one of the world’s leading orchestras, renowned for its distinctive sound, its keen ability to capture the hearts and imaginations of audiences, and its legacy of innovation in music-making. Nézet-Séguin is an inspiring leader and one of the most exciting talents of his generation. He is Musical America’s Artist of the Year 2016 and has been praised as “phenomenal” by The New York Times.
