Description
Chen Jichang is a romantic guy but he has a jealous and abusive wife Yu. His friend, Su Dongpo has long found Jichang’s fear of his wife annoying. In order to provoke her, he arranges a ‘chance meeting’ between Jichang and his cousin Qincao. Yu is angry when, urged by Dongpo, Jichang asks for her permission to have Qincao as concubine. She prefers to take poison and kill herself than consenting to him taking a concubine.
