The Last Journey To The West
Description
Description
“Journey to the West” is one of the Four Great Classical Novels of the Chinese literature, and fictionalizes a Buddhist monk’s pilgrimage to India (then known as the western Regions) full of spiritual insights, to fetch back sacred scriptures. Set in an environment entirely fantastic, the journey follows with lots of adventures, overcoming terrific challenges. The Little Mountain Arts Association enacts “The Last Journey to the West” in a funny and playful way, through puppets, magic, dance and singing. This Cantonese-spoken children’s theatre play will end as any fable, giving a moral to the story: team spirit and environmental awareness are great issues to attain.
