Description

Description

Chu Batian is a domineering general in Junzi State whose achievements overshadow the tong’s. Returned from a victorious war in the south, he forces the king to make him prince and demands to marry Princess Qionghua. Having always disliked Chu, the princess refuses to meet with him and instead goes sightseeing in the country with her maid Chunhua. The princess and maid meet a bandit on the way but are saved by knight errant Zhang Jianqiu. The pnncess and Zhang fall in love at first sight. Chu witnesses their romance and becomes jealous.
Missing the princess, Zhang sneaks into the palace to meet her, aided by his servant Shafu The lovers exchange sweet words and decide they cannot bear to part. Chu orders his troops to besiege the palace, captures Zhang, and confines him in a secret chamber. The general also threatens to kill Zhang if the princess does not marry him within ten days. Zhang dresses as a maid and sneaks into the palace after heroes from the mountains have saved him. Pleased to see that the princess is steadfast in her love.Zhang vows to capture Chu. When lifting the veil of his bride on the wedding day. Chu finds himself staring at the male servant. Zhang arrives with the heroes from the mountains and engages in a fierce battle with Chu and his troops. Chu is finally beaten, and Zhang marries the princess.
