The Healing Cave

Description

Description

When adversity strikes, people often feel that at least some part of them – be it their views of the world, their sense of themselves, their relationships – has been smashed. Mardi Horowitz proposed adjustment to trauma consists of five phases: outcry, numbness and denial, intrusive re-experiencing, working through and completion. Twelve of CUHK art students interpret the phases of adjustment to trauma through the form of art intervention. They wish to help people to understand their own emotions and overcome adversity.
