Description
The Crucible draws a clear analogy with the witch hunts of Salem, Massachusetts in 1692 – the subject of the play. After a prank by a group of teenage girls goes wrong, the enitre village is soon consumed by hysteria, leading to innocent victims being put on trial and the story’s devastating conclusion.
