The Art of Lingnan School – Bird And Flower Painting Exhibition

Description

The bird-and-flower painting of Lingnan School, which has a significant on the field of contemporary Chinese bird-and-flower painting, has been continuing to open up new journey for the development of Chinese painting. In this exhibition, there are eight artists from Guangdong and Hong Kong. The representative artists in Hong Kong include Lam Wu Fui and Nigel Szeto. Lam Wu Fui explored various subjects and techniques to form his personal style, especially his painting of cranes is remarkable. Nigel Szeto’s brushstroke embodied the tradition of Lingnan School which emphasizes the use of bone structure and boneless style at the same painting in the elegant way.
