Social Photography Exhibition for Educational Circles 2019 organised by Department of Design Foundation Studies was held from 22 March to 7 April 2019 at M-Floor, d-mart of HKDI. Students from secondary schools and tertiary institutes in Hong Kong were invited to submit their work for the Exhibition. This year, the theme of the event is “New generation in a nostalgic mood” with an aim to provide a platform for the new generation to show their social awareness by using photos. Over 50 excellent artworks were selected from about 500 submissions by professional judges, the works show students’ ability of observation, sense of judgment, artistic presentation and social documentary photo skill.
