Description
Description
Sino Art joins hands with Hong Kong Baptist University and International Writers Workshop to present Shore – International Literary and Visual Art Exhibition cum Charity Sale. The event features 40 works created by 20 visual artists and 20 writers based on the theme ‘Shore’.
‘Shore’ represents the fringe of land at the edge of the sea. Metaphorically speaking, reaching the shore is achieving a goal. The creative process of the works requires great interactivity. The artists first created two works with ‘Shore’ as the theme. They then paired up with the 20 writers who developed their literature based on their interpretations of the artists’ pieces. In dialogue with one another, the paintings and literature became a complete work of art accentuating the resonance of their counterparts. To benefit the community and the needy, all works are up for charity sale to raise funds for The Community Chest of Hong Kong.
Note:This event record is compiled from "Hong Kong Visual Arts Yearbook 2010" published by Department of Fine Arts, The Chinese University of Hong Kong.
