Serendipity in the Street Sharing Event

Description

Description

In order to better observe and systematically record the happenings in the Central and Sheung Wan neighbourhoods, a research team, led by Brian Kwok, Hong Kong Polytechnic University’s Associate Professor of School of Design, assumed the roles of urban observers over the past few months. In this sharing session, Brian and the team will disclose their primary sources and personal experience of conducting the street investigations. Artists are invited to create new digital work that responds to particular routes, spaces and features, telling a rich and three-dimensional story of our lives. Composed by Charles Kwong, one of the creative responses Distantial Study (Staunton – Old Bailey), will be performed during the sharing event. The commissioned work features saxophonist, Charles Ng, who shares with his audience a sound journey that invites exploration into the historical architecture of Tai Kwun.
