Sensual Encounters

Description

Description

Pang Yongjie is widely recognized as one of China’s leading “post contemporary” abstract artists, and Fabrik Gallery is delighted to welcome him to Hong Kong for the opening of his new exhibition “Sensual Encounters” on Thursday May 14th. His unique and striking paintings are favoured by collectors in Asia and Europe, and have achieved success at auction.
Pang’s signature style of sensual, fluid, fleshy, maternal and often humorous abstract female forms is modelled on the female figures of Tang dynasty art. His works typically offer strong forms, interesting colour combinations, generous breasts and hips, voluptuous curves, and bright lips on rounded faces. The viewer cannot help but smile!
