Description
Description
“The Triple Bill” presents three adapted and original short pieces by three directors and a young group of performers. Directed by YAF’s Artistic Director Lindsey McAlister, “Weird Sisters: A Physical Theatre Adaptation of Macbeth” is a piece combining physical theatre, movement and dance. Created collaboratively by the cast, it explores the symbolism and major themes of Macbeth such as female protagonists, corruption of power, hallucinations and prophecy. “Fragments of Fading History” is an original play created collaboratively by a young cast and the director Maria Wong.
Exploring the notion of community and identity, the play draws inspiration from major incidents in Hong Kong and the impact these incidents had on Hong Kong people. Directed by Brian Mulcahy, “Eurydice” by Bonsai Cacti’s from Chinese International School is an imagining of the Greek myth. It presents the events of the narrative from Eurydice’s point of view and explores music, funeral rites and journeys in a series of site-specific presentations.
