This energetic programme takes us all the way to the Argentinian pampas of Ginastera, on to Gershwin’s jazzy America and finally to the lively country dances of Dvořák’s Bohemia as revealed in his sprightly Eighth Symphony. The soloist in Gershwin’s all-time favourite Rhapsody in Blue is the Young Steinway Artist pianist Vanessa Wong Wai-yin.
This concert runs 75 minutes approximately, without an intermission.
