Featuring English madrigals during the reigns of Queen Elizabeth I and Queen Victoria, “Remembrance of Things Past” highlights some of the best works from “The Triumphs of Oriana” (1601) and “Choral Songs in honour of Her Majesty Queen Victoria” (1899). As lyrical tunes spanning the seventeenth and nineteenth centuries by celebrated composers Thomas Morley, Robert Lucas Pearsall, Edward Elgar and many others unfold old British tales, a cappella voices with poems retold will take you to revisit old times of England.
Continuing the success of “Viva Oriana”, a theatrical concert in April, SingFest is going to present the next episode, “Remembrance of Things Past”, with an elevated setting and impressive showcase for young choral talent.
