Puppet-maker Geppetto creates a lifelike puppet, Pinocchio. Instead of going to school, naughty Pinocchio goes on an adventure. The Fairy, who gave Pinocchio his ability to walk and move, repeatedly saves Pinocchio from his mischiefs; but Pinocchio continues to get himself into all sorts of trouble.
After losing all his money, growing a long nose, turning into a donkey, falling into the sea and finally getting swallowed by a shark, Pinocchio realises the errors of his ways and finally reunites with Geppetto, who has been searching high and low for him. Pinocchio promises to be good and the Fairy turns him into a real boy.
