Description
Local musician Chau Chin-tung will give a percussion concert in August.
The concert will be held at 8pm on August 4 (Tuesday) at the Theatre of Sheung Wan Civic Centre. The programme will feature an eclectic mix of Eastern and Western percussion works, including “The Doomsday Machine”, “Ma mère l’Oye” and “The Crested Myna Washing”, as well as Chau’s original compositions “One Hundred Years of Solitude” and “Touch Wood” and three premiere works: “Chase”, “The Bustling Fairy Sedan” and “Bang!”.
Also performing in the concert will be Mandy Lo, Rieko Koyama, Louis Siu, Raymond Vong, Jason Leung, Chan Wai-hong, Tse Tsz-chung and Mo Chun-pang (percussion); Kwan Sheung-fung (cor anglais); Law Hang-leung and Wu Chun-hei (suona); Lin Yu-hsien (dizi); Lu Yi and Li Li-chin (sheng); and the Refiner Drums.
