Description
The artists express their feelings through their works which convey their impressions of Hong Kong, revealing the glamour of the Pearl of the Oriental. Some paintings display the highly developed sides of Hong Kong such as the mysterious Victoria Harbour under the setting sun, the evening lights shining on the seaport, the international financial center in the mist, and the skyscrapers as Bank of China Tower. More of the paintings focus on the beautiful views of New Territories which is almost forgotten by urbanites, such as the Natural scenery in Nam Sang Wai, lovely wild birds, jiggly boats at the habour of refuge etc. Those works remind us that Hong Kong is not only a prosperous international city but also a place which has pleasant and comely original ecological landscape. Artists appeal to us that we should not forget that as city without darkness, Hong Kong is also a natural home for everybody. We should protect the environment here, and help Hong Kong to live up to the name of the world’s most livable city.
