As a centre celebrating both cultural heritage and creative innovation, the Xiqu Centre presents free music performances in the Atrium by a diverse line-up of professional ensembles.
This Sunday afternoon, #MusicInTheAtrium features thematic performances by local group Windpipe Chinese Music Ensemble.
At 1pm, walk down memory lane with classic Cantonese music paired with storytelling of the history of the “Ding Ding” tram. The 4:45pm session takes the theme of the mid-autumn moon and showcases traditional plucked string instruments in a repertoire of moon-inspired solo and ensemble pieces.
