Knives In Hens

Description

Description

In a rural village, in a time when superstition still governs the minds of the people, a young woman marries William, the local ploughman. He spends his days working the fields or tending to his horses, leaving the young woman only with her imagination. When the young woman is sent with the couple’s grain to the miller’s to be ground into flour, she has to face one of her biggest fears, the miller himself. In a land that values manual labour, the miller, with his seeming idleness, his collection of books, and his dead wife and child, is viewed with suspicion. What the young woman encounters at the mill sets about an awakening that changes her forever, with consequences for all.
