How does Sun Wukong transform from a stone monkey into the Monkey King? Why is Pigsy so greedy? Is Monk Sandy really that timid? Journey To The West: The Story Behind The Mountain will mix traditional Chinese Acrobatics, shadow puppet and western mimes together with theatrical movement to bring their story with Monk Tang to the stage. Ming Ri Institute for Arts Education invited TANDARICA Animation Theatre from Romania together to direct the production, and present an interesting cross-cultural creation this October.
